flight-like...

so the wonderful site we were glad to use and promote called yousendit seems to have undergone some changes, and now has become problematic, friends have said they couldn't get files without signing up, etc.

so we are exploring alternatives.

we may stick with them, signup is free, annoying, but free (and besides, it don't have to be your really real addy)... but we're just shopping around.

we'll welcome any viable suggestions/solutions.

in the meantime, hope you're all doing well.

here's some interesting music from a band called falcon.

sure they sound a little derivative, (and man does that ever make me sound like those indie snobs i cannot stand to talk music with), but it still sounds pretty good. smacks of some granddaddy (alas, no more), mixed with other folks.

there's music at their site (love that 3d heart) and they have a myspace page too where you can hear the track that piqued my curiosity, o great rosenfeld, which has is part of the band's accompaniment to the Daniel Wallace book by that name, there's more music there, but it would seem to require realplayer (eep!)

check'em out.

from their site, the band is called falcon, the track is called dry land.

dear IL, you keep us on our toes.

here's a real gem, actually, i was going to give you something else, but i thought it deserved it's own post.

this is from the black angels' album passover, which deserves some sort of prize for packaging.

anyhow, not my fave off the album, but still pretty great. live, i kept thinking the lead singer sounded like a cross between jim morrisson and gord downie, with someone else thrown in.
